DIY..Toddlers Memory Card Bunch
This is my first DIY project that came out of my mind and making real profits. I am happy that I finally used few of the junk things that I have reserved without throwing them from ages!
I was having a tough time making my toddler remember every new letter and number taught in school.
It was then that I came up with this easy to make and easy to carry memory card bunch. Mind it, its absolutely done with easily available things at home and so no hole in pocket.
All you need are,
1. Plain card sheet (Use plain side of a shirt/sari cover box or toothpaste cover or match box)
2. Pens / Sketch pens
3. Punch
4. Thread (Use thread from price tag of a costume or from the luggage pass in your flight)
Then,
Cut the card sheet into stamp sized pieces.
On each piece, write a number or an alphabet. You could use a colour convention to write alphabets and numbers as - numeral one '1' and small letter 'l' appear same. So, you could write numbers in one colour and alphabets in other.
Behind each letter, you could write a small picture of a word starting with that letter - as 'I' for 'Icecream'. For numerals, you could write the number of pictures depicting the number.
Punch the upper right or left corner of the card pieces.
Put the cards into the thread through the punched holes in the sequence that you want, to make it a bunch. I took the thread from the price tag of my new sandal :)
Once done, tie an easy knot of the thread.
Your toddler's memory card bunch is ready. you could make different bunches for letters, numbers, pictures. This is easy to carry, easy to revise, easy to hang, easy to remake if required.
My toddler is revising the numbers and letters with this memory card bunch and hes absolutely loving it (me too loving it :)). Hope the same from your toddlers.
Good Luck!
