My name - 'Lavanya' in Sanskrit means Beauty, Grace, Lustre :)

Lavanya is very commonly used in old kannada romantic poems to describe the beauty of the lady. I used to feel happy about its frequence occurence in my kannada gadya and padya classes..

I love my name and I think that my name is one of the beautiful gifts my parents have given me..Everytime I think of it, I blush and everytime I blush, I touch my left cheek and make sure that my dimple is felt :)

On the humourous side, names get funny when they are caught in bollywood songs ..like my cousin's name - Sheela :) I am sure you are remembering the belly dance of bollywood sheela :)
